About Elizabeth Yager
Elizabeth Yager is the Principal Designer and Owner of Elizabeth Yager Designs (a Full Service Interior Design Studio), and EYD Fine Cabinetry in Effingham IL. Through her full service design studio, she and her team of designers offer residential and commercial interior design services in Central and Southern IL. Through her cabinetry design shop, EYD Fine Cabinetry also services to the greater St. Louis area.
Elizabeth was born and raised in the Lake Harriet area of Minneapolis, MN. Being surrounded by stunning and historical residential architecture planted the seeds for a love of beautiful homes.
Later, Elizabeth move to Chicago to attend The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she received a BFA specializing in Fashion Design and Fine Arts. Chicago was also where she met her Effingham native husband, which eventually landed her in Central, IL.
"I decided to start EYD in 2018, when I built a custom home for my family and absolutely LOVED the process. This was a way that I could use my design skills in a functional and meaningful way. I love nothing more than helping a person to create an inspired home that they absolutely love."
In early 2022, Elizabeth acquired the cabinetry design shop, which at the time was called Kuche Fine Cabinetry, to expand her business to be able to supply fine cabinetry, counter tops and closets designed by interior designers across every budget. Later the name of that cabinetry shop changed to EYD Fine Cabinetry. With both businesses now functioning in the same showroom, she has added many services to her repertoire including drafting services, specialty flooring products, tile and much more.
"The aim is to become be the only one stop design shop in our area for clients to use to simplify the building and remodeling process. That way we can really make renovation and building less overwhelming and more fun for our clients."

3D Rendering Artist and Senior Designer
Rachel Probst
Rachel Probst is an experienced interior designer with a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces. She graduated from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with a bachelor's degree in Applied Science and Arts, which gave her a solid foundation in both the technical and artistic aspects of interior design. After college, she spent four years she working in the Atlanta area, designing stunning homes for her clients.
Rachel's approach to design is collaborative, and she works closely with her clients to understand their vision and bring it to life. She loves the challenge of balancing form and function to create spaces that not only look amazing but also meet her clients' needs and lifestyles. Her years of experience have taught her to find creative solutions to design challenges and to manage projects with precision and attention to detail.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys exploring new hobbies and spending time with her family.
Junior Designer
Isabelle Highfield
Isabelle had a dream of becoming an interior designer since watching Fixer Upper as an 8th grader. Since then she has been focused on making that dream come true. She is currently a full time student at Kaskaskia College majoring in Architecture & Engineering Drafting Technology. This has only fueled her passion as she discovered her love for architectural design. Making spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing is something she finds extremely rewarding!
Isabelle's training includes a Revit-Architectural Certification, and training on interior materials and finishes (such as flooring, tile, and window treatments).
Senior Cabinetry Designer
Victoria Beals
Victoria is the Showroom Manager at EYD and has been with EYD Fine Cabinetry since they opened in 2017, and then has been working as an Experienced Designer at EYD since 2022. She has 20 years of collective experience in the interior design & cabinetry industry. She graduated with her Masters of Science from Illinois State University & as a grad student, she taught Residential Design classes.
Victoria finds that projects with architectural challenges are most exciting & her main goal at Küche is to help alleviate some of the stress that comes with a remodeling or new construction project. With the cooperative effort of a team approach, she strives to help her clients feel empowered to achieve the goals and dreams for their home.
In her free time, Victoria enjoys spending time outdoors & staying active!
